Greetings from South Carolina

Hello all! I'm writing this from South Carolina - here for the weekend. As many of you already know, my husband, Dave, is being deployed to Afghanistan for 6 months. I'm here visiting him at basic training. Again, I still don't get why they're sending Navy to a British Army base... but who am I to judge?

So that said, I now have a bit of free time and have started shooting pet portraits. We're donating $25 of every pet session to the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria in addition to a Thanksgiving pet-food drive for sessions. FINALLY!

After 3 months of a dead link to a blog, I decided perhaps it would be time to actually... you know... post something. Really, it's amazing - I figured I'd have lots to say, but it seems that I'm banging my head against the keyboard in hopes that something remotely interesting magically finds its way to my screen. So... here's hoping this first message finds you all well. Stay tuned (although, I've said this before).
